Thanks for this history which tracks extremely well with this 90s kid. As someone who was a bit sheltered, my introduction to Alex Jones and conspiracies beyond Unsolved Mysteries / X-Files entertainment was somehow when Google Video launched? They had a trending list and Loose Change was perpetually trending. It seemed so shocking but one day you're bored and thinking, a 2-hour video about Bohemian Grove doesn't trend unless something is going on. So I have no problem seeing how YouTube was a driver of conspiracy content.
